Certified Nurse Midwife Joins Oakdale ObGyn

Oakdale Obstetrics and Gynecology welcomes the addition of a certified nurse midwife (CNM) to its care team, expanding their capacity to offer high quality health care services to women living in the north and northwest metro areas.

Jennifer Stoffers, CNM, joins 10 obstetrics and gynecology physicians and four nurse practitioners at the women’s specialty care medical practice. She will see women of all ages for health and wellness care at clinic locations in Maple Grove, Plymouth, and Robbinsdale, including during evening hours and Saturday mornings at Maple Grove starting in September.

Ms. Stoffers brings more than 14 years experience to the practice and of her patient care philosophy, she says: “I listen to my patients, answer questions, teach and empower women to make choices about their care.”

Her special medical interests include well woman and pregnancy care, and obstetrics care after bariatric surgery. Women who want an obstetrical care experience with a nurse midwife and delivery by an obstetrician will benefit from her longtime expertise.

She earned her Bachelors of Science in nursing in 1992 at the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, Minn., and completed her Masters of Science in nurse midwifery at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, in 1998.
