While auditing medical records early in her career, Cheryl learned that she was fascinated by the great need for compassionate health care. She recognized an arena where she could help and thus started her journey as a healthcare provider. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the Mankato State University and is a graduate of Planned Parenthood's Women's Health Care Practitioner program. She became certified as a nurse practitioner in 1996. Cheryl focuses on the whole patient. She inquires about her patients' lives in an effort to understand what is affecting their health. She finds that providing healthcare is largely about counseling -- listening and teaching. She appreciates the complexity of her patients. She has a special interest, skills and certification the in diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence.
