Vaccine Ingredients

Please notify Oakdale OB/GYN staff before receiving a vaccine if you have any severe allergies including allergies to eggs or shellfish.  CDC information on vaccine ingredients.

Thimerosal

A preservative found in vaccinations.  Thimerosal contains a very small amount of mercury but is safe for all patients including pregnant patients.  CliCDC information on thimerosal.

Vaccine Assistance Program

Some patients will be eligible for discounted or free vaccines.  CDC information about the vaccine assistance program.

With a vaccine (as with any medicine) there is always a small risk of a life-threatening allergic reaction or other serious problems.
