Presentation on Women's Health by Stacy Noyes, M.D. on February 20, 2010

A free community discussion will be held on Saturday February 20th, 2010 at Maple Grove Community Center, during the Women's Health Expo.

The speaker will be Dr. Stacy Noyes, obstetrician and gynecologist in practice at Oakdale OBGYN in the Twin Cities area.  Dr. Noyes will discuss several women's health topics.

Topics include:

  • Cholesterol Testing and the new heart study.
  • New Healthcare Recommendations.
  • Need for health tests.
  • Age appropriate pelvic exams and colonoscopy.
  • Current guidelines for Mammogram and Bone Density Studies.
  • Safely forgoing annual Pap Smears.

Stacy Noyes, M.D. an Oakdale Obstetrics and Gynecology physician, will discuss a number of different gynecological topics at the upcoming Women's Health Expo in Maple Grove, MN.  Dr. Noyes received her B.S. degree from North Dakota State University and went to medical school at the University of North Dakota.  She originally went into medicine planning to be a family physician.  Dr. Noyes soon discovered her special interests in taking care of new mothers in labor and protecting women's lives in surgery.  She pursued her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Penn State University in Hershey, PA, where she refined her skills in obstetrics and gynecology.
