Presentation on Women's Health by Dr. Jon Nielsen & Dr Taryn McEvoy on March 14, 2010

A free community discussion will be held on Sunday March 14th, 2010 at Plymouth Creek Center from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., during Plymouth's Healthy Living Fair.  The speakers will be Dr. Jon Nielsen and Dr. Taryn McEvoy, obstetricians and gynecologists in practice at Oakdale OBGYN in the Twin Cities area. 

Jon Nielsen, M.D. , an Oakdale Obstetrics and Gynecology physician, will discuss a number of different menopausal topics at the upcoming Plymouth Healthy Living Fair in Plymouth, MN.  Dr. Nielsen is a certified menopause practitioner through the North American Menopause Society. He has given many presentations on Menopause early signs of Menopause, different treatment options, and menopausal management.  Dr. Nielsen is a senior partner, and has dedicated his professional career to the well-being of women.  He is recognized as one of the best in his field, having been noted regularly in Minneapolis St Paul Magazine's Top Doctor List, as well as in WCCO-TV top ten Twin Cities Ob/Gyn List.

Taryn McEvoy, M.D. , an Oakdale Obstetrics and Gynecology physician, will discuss a number of different gynecological topics at the upcoming Plymouth Healthy Living Fair in Plymouth, MN. Topics will include the need for different health tests, age appropriate pelvic exams and colonoscopy, and current guidelines for mammograms, bone density studies, and pap smears.  Dr. Taryn McEvoy graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was excited to return to her original home here in Minnesota and become a part of Oakdale OB/GYN.  Dr. McEvoy has a team approach to the doctor-patient relationship.  She works together with her patients to provide the best care for them as individuals and improve their quality of life.
