Dr. Jon Nielsen has accepted the Medical Director position at North Memorial!

Oakdale Obstetrics and Gynecology is excited to announce that Dr. Jon Nielsen has accepted the Medical Director position for the Women’s and Children’s program at North Memorial Health Care.?This will be a part-time position which allows Dr Nielsen to continue his practice with Oakdale Ob-Gyn.?Dr. Nielsen has been active in leadership as a member of North Memorial ?Board of Trustees for a number of years and brings a wealth of experience to this leadership position. He has dedicated his professional career to the well-being of women and has been noted regularly on Mpls St Paul Magazines Top Doctor list as well as in WCCO-TV’s top ten Twin Cities OBGYN list.

In this new role Dr. Nielsen’s goal will be to help improve quality of care, implement quality initiatives, improve processes surrounding normal pregnancies and deliveries, and make both Maple Grove Hospital and North Memorial Medical Center a safer, more cost effective environment for our patients.? He will also help develop strategic initiatives to improve the Women and Children’s programs at both hospitals.
