About

I have been a physician assistant for 8 years and have a background in Otolaryngology and Urology surgery. I have been trained in minimally invasive surgery using the Da Vinci robotic system with these patients and I am excited to carry over my skills with Oakdale ObGyn. As a Physician Assistant, I view myself as an extension of the physician to deliver all-around care to our shared patients, but also as an individual provider capable of diagnosing and treating most complaints. As I am partnered with Dr. Matthew Palmer, I will be there for our patients every step of the way – I will see you in clinic, assist in the operating room, and see you post-operatively. I think it’s important to have this continuity in care and to create a level of familiarity and trust in the process. Bonding with my patients is very important to me! My goal for each patient interaction is to make sure that they feel comfortable during their appointments and exams, that my patients feel heard, and that they leave with a clear understanding of what is going on. My background in other sub-specialties has given me an understanding that going to a provider about sensitive issues does not need to be uncomfortable.

I grew up in northern California but fell in love with the Midwest when I went to Physician Assistant school in Chicago. I lived there for 10 years before moving to the Minneapolis area in May 2019 with my husband and dog, a golden retriever named Trigger. In my free time I like to travel, fish, read, go for long walks with the dog, and try new recipes or restaurants since I am quite the foodie!
