Services Community Outreach
Our long-standing commitment to the communities we serve is well-established. Women’s health education programs, and support of initiatives that include Safe Journey and the Maple Grove Farmers Market Power of Produce are among the many ways we advocate for the health of women and their families. Here’s a snapshot of some of the programs we support and how we do it.
Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners
This Plymouth-based health and human services agency supports women and their families in communities based in the western suburbs. Services range from emergent care and housing to a food shelf and resale store. Oakdale ObGyn supports this organization through such activities as diaper drives and sponsoring their Girls, Glamour & Giving fundraising event. Learn more at www.iocp.org.
Maple Grove Farmers Market Power of Produce (POP)
We’re excited to return as a Power of Produce sponsor, helping kids get into fruits and veggies. As a sponsor of the Maple Grove Farmers Market Power of Produce (POP), Oakdale ObGyn helps kids ages 4-12 learn more about fruits and veggies. This free program develops the next generation of healthy eaters by inspiring kids to experiment with fruits and veggies and giving them ideas about how they can help in the kitchen. Learn more.
Maple Grove Days
Maple Grove Days is a fun, community-wide event where you’ll find our providers and staff at the annual parade and Business Expo. Our entire team will be on hand for the Maple Grove Days Parade, Thursday, July 11, and the Business Expo, Saturday, July 13. If you see us, give a shout out to your favorite provider and staffer. Join us at this great community event and receive some cool freebies too.
Our popular pre-natal yoga classes offer moms-to-be a special way to connect with their baby. Open to Oakdale ObGyn patients, these classes are led by an experienced fitness trainer who is mom to 4 growing children. Learn more.
Oakdale ObGyn is a longtime supporter of Safe Journey, a hospital-based domestic abuse advocacy program. The program provides 24/7 advocacy services, emergency housing, support groups, legal advocacy, and community and professional education. Learn more: www.northmemorial.com/safejourney
