Services Minimally Invasive Surgeries

Most women will face the unknown of having an in-office procedure or gynecologic surgery for a gynecology condition or concern at some point in their life. From elective procedures such as permanent birth control to emergency care, our obstetrics and gynecology doctors are skilled surgeons too, and offer you the most advanced surgical options available in state-of-the-art techniques and facilities.

Minimally invasive surgeries benefit you in many ways: less pain, fewer complications, a shorter recovery time and return to normal activities more quickly. In working with you, our goal is to find a solution that fits you and your lifestyle.

Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) with or without robotics for a variety of women’s concerns has been a game-changer

Advanced Training and Skills

Our gynecologic surgeons offer a range of minimally invasive surgeries and procedures that can be performed in the office or in a same-day outpatient surgery setting, including surgery using the da Vinci surgical robot system. Learn more about surgeries using robotics.

We partner with you to evaluate and diagnose your condition and help put your fears to rest by preparing you with information about what to expect before, during and after surgery.

Minimally invasive surgeries are common, safe and effective. However, like any medical procedure, there is a small risk of complications.

Talk with your GYN doctor to learn more.

Depending on your health condition, each minimally invasive surgery has a slightly different approach and uses different medical devices. Talk with your doctor to learn more about your surgery.

Some surgeries are performed with local or general anesthesia. Many are performed in our offices in Maple Grove, Blaine, Plymouth and Crystal, while others are performed at the North Memorial Ambulatory Surgery Center at Maple Grove Hospital, or at the Blaine Surgery Center.

We will call you to schedule your appointment. Your doctor will discuss the procedure with you and answer any questions you have.

Following most minimally invasive surgeries, you should be able to go home the same day with instructions about what to expect as your body heals. Our helpful triage nurses will answer any questions or talk with your GYN doctor.
