What is Urology?

Urology is the branch of healthcare that treats diseases of the urinary tract. For example, many women may experience urinary tract infections (UTIs), which are extremely common conditions that can be treated by a urologist. A urologist can also diagnose and treat other urinary tract diseases in both women and men.

When Should I See a Urologist?

Symptoms of urinary tract diseases or infections can be uncomfortable and disruptive to your life. Our providers’ goal is to help you receive the most personalized comprehensive healthcare. Your provider may recommend that you meet with a urologist if you struggle with certain symptoms or discomforts in the pelvic area.

You may want to consider meeting with a urologist if:

  • You experience frequent urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • You experience frequent urination or issues with incontinence
  • You have cloudy, foggy, or bloody urine
